Three Blind Jellyfish

Apologies for the obscure title, which possibly only the former girl guides will recognise (it's an annoying song I taught Dave while we were on holiday). But there really are three jellyfish in the photo, so it seems apt!

Anyway, for 9 days in the beginning of June we were in Fiji, on a small island up off the top of Viti Levu (the main island). An idyllic spot, away from the main tourist drag, we had a fantastic time. Even if we only had electricity for about 6 hours of the day and no hot showers!

We did LOTS of snorkelling, went diving and saw lots of sharks, got a lot of reading done, made random international friends, played poker, lazed around in hammocks on the beach, went for walks to watch the sunset, drank beer... pretty much your ideal winter holiday. Favourite catchphrase, when being asked what we had planned for the day: "nothing!" We'll be back to the spot with friends, the staff loved us too and said they would miss us :-)

PS while it says below this was posted by Dave, he isn't the one who was a girl guide :-) We've worked out the separate posting thing now.

Oh yes, I love the reference!(Sorry if it seems weird that a random stranger is commenting on your blog. I'm not a stalker, just a bored former girl scout.)
