Planes, Trains and Automobiles

So, after the OCRT, Mike, Helen, Rach and I caught the Taieri Gorge train from Middlemarch (at the very very end of the OCRT) to Dunedin. Here are a few pics to whet your appetite...












So, once in Dunners, we hired a car (1.5L Mitsubishi Colt - best thing about this car was the Tiptronic gearbox...), and drove to Christchurch, staying the night at Oamaru, and visited the Moeraki Boulders and Pengu's yellowed eyed cousins...











Upon Leaving Oamaru, we went to Christchurch via the Scenic Highway route which took us along the base of the Mt Hutt Ski field...

Anyway, we made it to Christchurch in time to catch our Pacific Blue flight to Auckland, which not only was it an hour late, but the woman in front of us at Airport Security passed a joke about her walking stick having a gun inside...
