Retroblog post 2: Single Girls Scavenger Hunt

(1 March 2002)

Team WHORESOME FOURSOME: Andrea, Julia, Rachael, Tania
(we got by with a little help from our friends)

List of items:
(Grammar and punctuation is all theirs - fastidious ed)
Condom from a stranger
Pool cue chalk
Piece of seaweed
Empty popcorn container
Business card from a strip joint
A receipt from a sex shop
A photo of you all with a cop!

Chest hairs from a stranger
A chip from Sky City
A menu from a Chinese restaurant
A traffic cone
Entire team inside the kitchen of a fast food restaurant

A hard hat
A picture with a famous person

(Ok, so we were running out of time. Yes that's just a statue!)
A completed golf score card
A pair of used men's underwear
A magazine with Nicole Kidman on the cover [poor jilted baby!]
A Christmas ornament
Group picture of you with a pianist at a bar

A picture of one of your team members topless in water! [fountain, beach, bath??!!]

Out of town business card from a stranger!
The strangest looking guy you can find! [we want 'him' not a photo] (Thanks Laeton! Thanks Dave!)
A movie ticket stub
The entire team on a fire engine!

A man's button, plucked off with your teeth!!
Something with a real Auckland Blues logo on it!
A bridal veil!
A pizza crust from a diners plate
You guys doing a human pyramid in the middle of town [not censored in original post, but censored now due to realisation of dodgy cleavage shot]
Photo of a man having a down trou! [CENSORED - sorry girls]
A penis shaped chocolate! (dodgy - the sex shop was ecstatic, if you'll excuse the use of the term, with the business they were doing)
A cucumber
A photo of you with a real drag queen!

(Check out 'her' legs! Bitch! :-) )
A picture of you writing your teams name with lipstick on a cute mans bum! (nice to have an obliging boyfriend…)

A Bible…
A place mat or napkin from a café or bar on Ponsonby Road [must have 'printed' logo on it!]

Huge thanks to our 'support crew', specifically Dave and Anna. We couldn't have done it without you! Yes we did get everything on this list - one of 13 (out of 243) teams that did.
Oh, and about the 'Single' part - they did say that we didn't have to BE single, we just had to ACT like it, and be prepared to hunt, drink and be scary. I think we got there ok - especially that last part!
Present Day note - we entered a team the next year, dressed as cheerleaders (while there were a few cheerleaders, OUR costumes were so good a picture of us got into a magazine), but while the 2002 list was too easy, the 2003 list was close to impossible, so we gave up and went for a drink instead :-)
